Coverage limits

Unfortunately, we were unable to determine exactly what the coverage limits are for a standard home insurance policy with Arbella. It is safe to assume that their standard policy has a maximum dollar amount coverage limit for dwelling coverage and then percentage of the dwelling overage limit for each of the subsequent sections.

Cost of Arbella home insurance policy

According to Quadrant Information Services, the average cost of a standard home insurance policy with Arbella is just under $1,250 per year for a $300,000 home. This is significantly cheaper than the national average for all insurance companies, which sits at around $1,900 per year. While the price is cheaper than average, the coverage is on par with the national companies. Policy premiums will differ for each person depending on a number of factors, so the $1,250 average could be higher or lower than the actual cost for any individual in the four states that Arbella serves.

Financial strength

Arbella is a financially strong company with an A rating from AM Best. The company is not rated by the other two major credit ratings agencies, Standard & Poor’s and Moody’s. An A Rating from AM Best is one of the top ratings that a company can receive. This means that Arbella can weather a flood of insurance claims at the same time or survive any downturns in business. While this is a high rating, it is a couple of notches below the top rating that can be received, meaning the company is in great financial health, but is not bulletproof.

Conclusion

For residents in the four states that Arbella offers coverage in, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island, Arbella is a clear top choice. They have almost everything that a homeowner would want in a home insurance policy.

The company is financially strong with a great rating from AM Best. The customer service seems to be exceptional compared to other home insurance companies. The claims process is easy to understand, and agents are helpful in assisting policyholders with any of their needs.

They have a plethora of additional coverages and discounts available to homeowners. There is one additional coverage missing from their offerings. They do not offer extended or guaranteed replacement coverage, which is a minor drawback. It would be nice to see a higher financial rating, in order to give them as close to five stars as possible, but their financial rating is still very strong.

Residents in the New England area can’t go wrong with Arbella Insurance Group. New homeowners or homeowners that may fit into multiple discount categories should especially consider Arbella, as their premium could be well below the industry average. Overall Arbella is an outstanding company for those looking to purchase home insurance.
