Wisconsin Mutual Home Insurance Review

Wisconsin Mutual has more than 100 years of experience serving the state of Wisconsin. They write basic coverage for business and personal insurance policies along with some enhancement products and recently started offering insurance policies to their neighboring state, Minnesota. Here is more information about this company to decide whether the policies they provide is right for you and your home.

A brief history of Wisconsin Mutual

Wisconsin Tornado Mutual Insurance Company was founded in 1903 in Milton, Wisconsin. The company moved to Madison and changed its name to Wisconsin Mutual Insurance in 1946. They have grown to insure more than 50,000 vehicles and 100,000 homes in their state and writes business, farm, and umbrella insurance as well.

They are selling their home insurance products through their network of over 1,000 agents across Wisconsin and in 2017, they’ve expanded their company, offering their insurance services to their neighboring state, Minnesota

The Claim

They claim that they have competitively priced and comprehensive insurance products. They also said that they take pride in how they provide the best services to their policyholders.

The Truth

Sort of. If you want in-person customer support, Wisconsin Mutual can be your best option. However, they don’t offer online quoting, which means you have to go to their office or call one of their agents to process your home insurance quote. Their website offers an agent locator so you can easily find an agent in your area.

Wisconsin Mutual doesn’t offer expensive rates as well. What you should focus on, from this type of company, is how well they handle claims and if their policyholders are satisfied with services.

The customer reviews we’ve gathered on various websites have a combination of negative and positive feedback about Wisconsin Mutual. In the negative reviews, customers are saying that the company denied their claims with no valid reason and that some of them got dropped out of their policy after filing a claim. While on the positive reviews, they say that the company’s agents are helpful, friendly and that they process claims fast.

This mixture of positive and negative reviews might depend on which state you’re in. Make sure to do more research to know how Wisconsin Mutual handles their customers.
